Designer in the spotlight - Amy Spargo.
Amy's passion for design started as early as ten years of age, with her first project her bedroom. Styling all the trinkets and toys and making her bed perfectly before asking her Mum a decorator herself, to photograph the space.
Amy believe's a house should represent the journey of your life. It should tell a story of where you have been and what’s important to you. She creates spaces that feel like a home to her clients, and a welcoming reflection of their lives to friends and family who visit.
Amy enjoys working with colour and prints, and always ensures the addition of an unexpected element of surprise. She likes to source objects and furniture from both high-end, acclaimed Australian and International suppliers; as well as one off pieces, found by scouring antique stores, which takes an interior from feeling predictable, to unique.
Amy believes in supporting local artists, builders and trades. Whether it’s constructing custom joinery, upholstering bespoke furniture items or bringing a space to life through art. She has worked with the well known Art Series hotels in Melbourne, and recounts the most fulfilling part of each project is the reveal of a completed space and witnessing the look on her client's face.
We adore the unique finishes and diverse loud and fun Hampton inspired trimmings, a style that refuses to be pigeonholed, and encourages the heart to follow its desire in an eclectic sense.
