The Glass Dome Wall Light carries a wide, shallow shade at the end of a swan neck arm that rises from a round wall plate and turns down over the fitting. Beneath the shade a clear cover encloses the globe completely, so the filament stays on show while the lamp itself is sealed away from wind and rain. The form follows the old well lights of jetties and farm sheds, pared back to smooth, unbroken lines.
The shade sends most of the light down onto the wall and the ground beneath it, while the cover lets a softer glow escape to either side, so the fitting marks a doorway from a distance as well as lighting the step in front of it. Arm, shade and plate are powder coated aluminium, and the whole assembly surface mounts to the wall. It suits front entries, back doors, garages, sheds and verandahs, and holds its own repeated in a row along a fence or a long facade.
