An oldie but a goodie, we're flashing back to the Byron Fresh Cafe project! 

The epitome of rustic elegance, Fresh's 2016 renovation - commissioned by new owner Markus Hofer and coordinated by the talented Nyree Mackenzie - beautifully captures Byron's romantic coastal vibes.

Nyree describes her design as 'rough luxe', which is an effortless combination of classic French and coastal shabby-chic elements. Weathered timber is balanced with pale sea hues and crisp white framework, creating a homely and timeless look. 

As always, her sourcing skills are impeccable with the cafe featuring large ornate doors, decorative wrought iron, geometric floor tiles and salvaged timber pillars - just to name a few of the stunning decorative features. Getting crafty with paints, Nyree has created a beautiful patina look on the antique barn pendants and Vintage Barn Style Wall Lights

 

It's always a blessing to be a part of her unique projects and as usual her lighting and fan choices are flawless, beautifully emphasising the vintage feel of the space.

 

When it comes to the lighting plan, the piece de resistance is a Coastal-Luxe Palm Chandelier which beautifully lights the entranceway. This area also boasts a mini bakery, lit up by our Adjustable Wall Lights in Antique Brass. These versatile wall lights are also featured in the kitchen and bathroom.

 

The alfresco dining area has some serious Parisian vibes. Featuring our Galvanised Exterior Wall Lights, some of which Nyree has cleverly had converted into pendants, it's a great spot to people watch. 

 

 

And we can't forget the iconic love booth, which has become a popular photo-op for visitors and locals alike. This unique feature is made from rustic timber and vintage Schweppes bottles, lit up by vintage-style LED light bulbs - which have been used in all light fittings throughout the cafe.
