Afends.
Byron Bay- Concept Store - 2/6 Lawson St
Born in 2006 in the small coastal town of Byron Bay, Australia, Afends was founded by Declan Wise and Jonathan Salfield off the back of a small screen printing business they originally created as 20-something year olds to print band merchandise for punk and hardcore bands.
The Afends ethos and style of surf and skate culture injected with a side of punk and hardcore couldn't be further removed from our normal projects but thats what we love most about this one!
When we heard the Mother and Daughter duo from Alida and Miller were teaming up with the Afends team we couldn't have been more eager to lend a hand.
As this humble brand is one of the front runners in leading the charge in eco friendly and environmental neutral clothing it was no surprise when they decided to go with our Recycled Concrete Linear.
We have seen a massive increase in popularity of fittings made from raw materials. In this particular space the tactile but still sleek pendant placed within the crisp and clean surrounds becomes the perfect feature.
Linear pendants are perfect for task lighting and by dropping this pendant low over the table, the team has created an intriguing display.
Contrasting the light and the dark, Nirvana draws upon the two foundations from which we build our entire lives; faith and fear.
To show off the newly revamped concept store they held an event, jointly celebrating the release of Follow Your Dreams x Nirvana Selwood. They held an intimate in-store art exhibition with Nirvana and their latest collaborative collection.
